Moving Toward Implementation

Student ReadingWhen your ELT proposal is approved, there is still plenty of work to do before your school opens with its redesigned and expanded schedule. This section is designed to help your school move from the planning phase into the implementation phase—essentially how to make your plan a reality.

Think of implementation actually starting well before the first day of school. It is important to make key decisions during the spring of the school year prior to opening as an ELT school. Working on implementation during this time will ease the transition to an expanded schedule for students, teachers, and families.

The following steps will help you think through the decisions that have to be made and the actions that you will need to take to get your ELT school up and running come fall.
