George Mastoras, Progam AssociateGeorge Mastoras is a Program Associate at Massachusetts 2020. George works on the national organization's communications and policy efforts. George also serves as the Massachusetts 2020’s webmaster and handles many of the organization's special projects. Prior to joining Massachusetts 2020, George was the Political Coordinator at Progressive Majority, a national political organization. Progressive Majority recruits progressive leaders to run for office; coaching and supporting their candidacies by providing strategic message, campaign, and technical support; prioritizing the recruitment and election of candidates of color; and bringing new people into the political process at all levels. During his tenure at Progressive Majority, George also worked in the development department as well as the President’s office. Additionally, he worked at the Washington, D.C. office of Congressman John Lewis researching and responding to constituent concerns about current events and legislation. George graduated from Stonehill College with a B.A. in Political Science and History, and holds an M.A. in Political Management from The George Washington University’s School of Political Management with a concentration in campaign management and issues management. George is an alumnus of the Education Policy Fellowship Program from the Institute for Educational Leadership in Washington D.C. George and his wife Rebecca, a public school teacher, reside in Mansfield. |
